alter~moon~egos is a clay workshop that invites participants to re-imagine their sensorium, and sculpt another life-form that would carry their spirit in an alternate universe.

…in this alternate universe, imagine how your physical would exist if you were free from social constructs…
would your ideas of morality exist differently?
how would your ego balance impulses and these ideals?
how would this alter your self-worth?
how would this alter your freedom, expressions and physicality?

Structure: 1-2hrs

Free flowing, choose clay, start making.
Once finished, find place on mooniverse installation to display piece.

Participants to leave details if they wish to fire their pieces to take home – this is an additional cost through Sunroom Studio’s firing service [approx. $20-30, 2-4 week turn around].
Otherwise, all clay pieces will be recycled.

samair has always gravitated towards working with her hands; weaving softness and intimacy throughout all dimensions of her ceramics and sound practice.

Becoming a space for her own emotional healing, expression, and identity exploration, this sensory experience is what has guided her to curate and hold nurturing spaces for others to learn in. She is interested in following flows of intuition and serendipity in her practice, which informs her fluid teaching style guided by students’ interests and abilities.
